Answer
A
God created the Earth and the universe.
B
God grants monarchs the right to rule.
C
God does not interfere with people’s lives.
D
The church should have a major role in society.
E
The church should be monitored by the government.
Explanation
Deism holds that God created the universe but does not intervene in its events or in people’s lives. Therefore, “God created the Earth and the universe” and “God does not interfere with people’s lives” are part of deism. The claims about monarchs’ divine right and the church’s role or government oversight are not defining ideas of deism.
