Additional protections provided by the Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) are that (a) computer programs receive copyright protection (protected as literary works), (b) rental rights receive copyright protection, (c) service marks receive the same protection as trademarks, (d) geographic indications are protected, (e) industrial designs are protected for at least ten years, and (f) patent protections for both products and processes lasts for at least twenty years.
