In addition to being a food source, a buffalo’s parts could be harvested to fulfill almost every need. Hides could be used to make clothing, tipis, or boats. Horns could be used to carve knives and spoons or to make farming tools. Hair could be woven into rope or thread. Each part of the buffalo was used creatively.
