Owning Your Academic Success — Test

Question 24 • Online Learning and Digital Citizenship

Which is the best example of a highly motivated student?

Answer

Holly gets to her homework after dinner and finishes it in the morning before she leaves for school.

Julia does some of her homework as soon as she gets home from school and finishes it before going to bed.

Samuel does his homework as soon as he gets home from school while watching television.

Frank has a snack when he gets home from school and then works on his homework until it is done.

Explanation

Frank has a snack and then keeps working on his homework until it is finished. Starting promptly and sticking with a task through completion are signs of strong motivation. Watching television while working, as Samuel does, can be distracting, and Holly puts off finishing her homework until the morning.
