Explain the difference between rotation and revolution. Then use these terms to explain how Earth, the moon, and the Sun move relative to one another.
Rotation is the spin of an object on its axis, while revolution is the movement of one object around another in an orbital path. Earth rotates on its axis about once every 24 hours and revolves around the Sun once every year. Similarly, the moon rotates on its own axis and revolves around the Earth approximately every 27.3 days.
