Question 7 • Social Media: Our Connected World (IS)
Kimani is a high school biology teacher and is planning on hiking the Appalachian Trail this summer. She wants to start a blog so that she can share her adventure with her students. However, she knows that she will only be able to post every few days because there will be a lot of time when she does not have internet. What is the BEST advice for Kimani?
Answer
A
As long as she posts regularly, a blog will work well.
B
For a blog to be successful, she needs to post every day.
C
Because she can’t post everyday, she should stick to sharing images on Instagram.
D
Blogs are more for sharing professional work than personal journeys.
Explanation
A blog can work well for sharing a personal journey even if updates come only every few days. Posting regularly helps readers follow Kimani’s hike, and she can write about several days of the trip in each post when she has internet access. She does not need to post daily, and a blog is suitable for personal experiences as well as professional work.
