Read the paragraph.Enkidu, who had met the beast, warned Gilgamesh of the dangers involved, explaining that Gilgamesh did not "know the horror that lurks ahead.” Upon seeing the beast Humbaba, Gilgamesh himself became seized with dread and terror.
