The best paramedic-educators are those who are not only practiced and skilled in the career, but have the interpersonal and communication skills necessary to effectively and clearly convey to students the most important aspects of paramedic service and to encourage these students to advance their careers through continuous education from a variety of sources. At the same time, the most successful paramedics are those who are constantly learning and improving their skills through continuing education but also through their direct action with accident victims, the seriously ill and injured; there is much to be said for the benefits of on the job learning.
