Be sure to include conditions in tenement neighborhoods. Remember that a summary states the most important ideas from a text in your own words. Make sure to write at least one complete paragraph and include specific examples from the text.

Answer:

Tenement neighborhoods were crowded and unhealthy places where many families lived in small, poorly ventilated apartments. Buildings often had little natural light, shared bathrooms, and limited access to clean water. Garbage and sewage could collect in the streets, creating unpleasant odors and helping diseases spread. These conditions made daily life difficult and dangerous for the working-class families who lived there.
