How are the themes of "The Colored Soldiers" and "War Is Kind" similar?

Both poems recognize the pain and suffering caused by war. “War Is Kind” describes soldiers dying and loved ones grieving, while “The Colored Soldiers” honors Black soldiers who faced danger and sacrifice in battle. Although the poems treat their subjects differently, both show that war brings hardship rather than simply glory.
