Edgenuity Not Working? Fixes That Work (2026)
EDGENUITY AUTOMATION
- Auto Complete Exams
- Auto Complete Assignments
- Skip Videos Instantly
When Edgenuity isn't working, it's almost always one of four things: the page won't load, videos won't play, you keep getting logged out, or an activity won't let you move on. Most of these have a two-minute fix in your browser. The rest are usually on Edgenuity's or your school's side, and the best move is to confirm that quickly instead of reinstalling everything.
Start with the quick checklist below. If it doesn't fix things, jump to the section for your specific problem. If you use Revolt and it's Revolt that's acting up, there's a section for that at the end.
The quick checklist
- 1Check whether it's just you. Ask a classmate, check your school's announcements, or ask your teacher whether Edgenuity is down or in maintenance.
- 2Hard refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac).
- 3Clear cache and cookies for the Edgenuity site, then sign in again.
- 4Turn off extensions that could interfere: ad blockers, privacy blockers, video speed controllers and old userscripts.
- 5Update your browser to the latest version, then restart it.
- 6Try a private window or a different browser to see if the problem follows you.
- 7Restart your router or switch networks if pages load slowly or half-load.
- 8Sign in fresh through your school's portal, such as Clever or ClassLink, instead of an old bookmark.
Edgenuity won't load or shows a blank screen
A blank or spinning page is usually cached data gone stale or an extension blocking part of the page. Clearing site data and disabling blockers fixes most cases. If you sign in through Clever or ClassLink, start from that portal; going straight to an old Edgenuity link can land you on an expired session. School networks sometimes filter sites too, so if it works at home but not at school, that's a question for your school's IT. Our Edgenuity login guide covers sign-in problems in more detail.
Edgenuity videos not playing
Video problems have a few common causes:
- •Ad or script blockers stop the player from loading. Allow the Edgenuity site in your blocker.
- •Autoplay settings block the video from starting. Click play once, or allow autoplay with sound for the site.
- •Switching tabs pauses the video. That's by design. Revolt's Allow Tab Out keeps videos playing when you switch tabs, with picture-in-picture.
- •A speed-controller extension is fighting the player. Turn it off; on classic Edgenuity these are unreliable anyway (see how to speed up Edgenuity videos).
- •A slow connection buffers forever. Lower other network use or switch networks.
Edgenuity keeps logging you out
Edgenuity signs you out after a period of inactivity, and the exact timeout depends on your school's settings. If you step away during a long video, you can come back to a timeout prompt or a login page. Blocked cookies and signing in on a second device can also end sessions early.
- •Allow cookies for Edgenuity and your sign-in portal.
- •Stay signed in on one device at a time.
- •Use Revolt's Anti Logout, which dismisses session-timeout prompts on Edgenuity, EdgeX and Edmentum so you're not kicked out mid-lesson.
The Next button is stuck or an activity won't complete
Edgenuity usually won't let you move on until every frame of an activity is done: the video finished, the practice question answered, the required step completed. Look for a frame you skipped, an unanswered question, or an eNotes step. If the page is genuinely frozen, refresh it; your progress is saved to Edgenuity, not your browser.
On classic Edgenuity, Revolt's Question Unlock lets you jump to any question or frame, and Auto Advance moves to the next activity automatically, including clearing eNotes steps.
Tired of babysitting logouts and paused videos? Anti Logout and Allow Tab Out handle both.
Get RevoltRevolt not working?
If Edgenuity loads fine but Revolt isn't doing anything, run through these first:
- 1Check that your key or subscription is active and activated in the Revolt panel.
- 2Make sure the Revolt script is enabled in Tampermonkey and up to date, then refresh the course tab.
- 3Confirm the feature you want is turned on, for example Auto Instructions or Auto Quiz.
- 4If you're running several classes, use Allow Duplicate Tabs so each class has its own tab.
- 5Turn off other Edgenuity scripts or add-ons. Two tools driving the same page will fight each other.
Still stuck? The Revolt docs cover setup and every feature, the FAQ answers the common questions, and the Revolt Discord is the fastest place to get help from the team and 47,000+ members. One thing no tool can fix: if Edgenuity itself is down, Revolt waits along with everyone else.
Frequently asked questions
Why is Edgenuity not working today?+
Check with classmates or your teacher first, since it may be down or in maintenance. If it's just you, clear cache and cookies, disable blocking extensions and update your browser.
Why won't my Edgenuity videos play?+
The usual causes are ad blockers, autoplay settings, speed-controller extensions or a slow connection. Also, videos pause when you switch tabs unless you use something like Revolt's Allow Tab Out.
Why does Edgenuity keep logging me out?+
Sessions time out after inactivity, and blocked cookies or a second login can end them early. Revolt's Anti Logout dismisses session-timeout prompts so you stay signed in.
Does clearing my cache delete my Edgenuity progress?+
No. Your progress is saved on Edgenuity's side. Clearing cache and cookies just means you'll sign in again.
Why can't I click Next in Edgenuity?+
Usually a frame isn't finished: a video, a practice question or a required step. Find the incomplete frame or refresh if the page is frozen.
Get back to finishing
Most Edgenuity problems are fixed by a refresh, a cleared cache or one disabled extension. For the ones that keep coming back, like timeouts and paused videos, install Revolt and let Anti Logout and Allow Tab Out handle them. Keys start at $2.50.
