Devon is frustrated about the crumbling and broken sidewalks in her neighborhood. When she walks to school every day, she thinks about the challenge that the uneven concrete must present to older people, people in wheelchairs, and people with strollers and shopping baskets. She has written an opinion piece about the topic. In it she describes the condition of the sidewalks on her street and explains why she thinks repairing them is so important. She wants to share what she wrote in hopes that her neighbors will read it and pressure the alderman to take action.
